iPads are Coming to ESAT!
December 27, 2013
Dear Parents / Guardians,
iPad distribution is coming! In compliance with our Alliance Common Core Initiative, iPads will be deployed to all students at ESAT in grades 9-11 on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. To ensure that your student receives their iPad your attendance is requested at a mandatory iPad orientation session on one of the following dates:
Thursday January 9th, 2014 at 6pm, Friday January 10th, 2014 at 9am and 12pm, Saturday January 11th, 2014 at 9:00, Thursday January 16th, 2014 at 5pm, Saturday January 18th, 2014 at 9am.
**Please note you will receive 2 volunteer hours for attending the session.
**The orientation will cover the following important policies:
• Acceptable Use Policy
• Insurance Policy options (Worth Group and Apple Care+)
• Security measures, check-in/out policy and bell schedule change.
At the meeting you will find the “Acceptable Use Policy Form” (AUP), “Student Pledge for Computing Device Use Form” and “Parent engagement flyer” for your review. You and your student/s must sign and complete and turn in. **Students will not receive iPad unless these forms are completed, signed and your attendance at an orientation session is verified. **
Thank you for your attention and we look forward to making this exciting opportunity a successful one for ESAT students!
Happy Holidays from ESAT!
Dear ESAT families,
Fall semester has officially closed. We are very proud of all of our students for how hard they worked in preparation for their final exams. To our 9th grade families, congratulations on your student completing his/her first semester of high school! Fall semester final report cards will be mailed home by the end of December.
During the winter break, the office will be open from 8:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. We will be closed 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1. Classes resume on Wednesday, January 15th with an all periods schedule. We hope all students enjoy the three weeks off, and also do their winter vacation homework!
From the ESAT family to yours, we wish you all a restful, happy and safe winter vacation. We will see you in 2014!

Finals Week Schedule
Dear ESAT families,
All ESAT students will be taking final exams and benchmark exams next week on Monday through Thursday. It is extremely important that students are studying hard and coming to school every day, on time, ready to work. Students will take a final exam in all six of their classes. Each final exam is cumulative and covers information from the entire semester. Each final exam takes approximately 2 hours. A reminder that fall semester grades, which will be mailed home at the end of December, are final grades which are on student transcripts that are sent to colleges. Good luck to all students.
Please note that on Friday, December 20th, the last day of fall semester, we will be on an early dismissal bell schedule with students being dismissed at 2:00pm.
We wish all ESAT students the best of luck as they prepare for final exams!
