Why is the media sometimes hesitant &/or willing to disrupt that relationship? How did the precedent of New York Times Co. vs. The United States of 1971 change the relationship between media and the president? Why does it matter today?
B-What were the Pentagon Papers? Using references from the movie and other sources discuss why the outcome and precedent of New York Times Co. vs. The United States of 1971 was so significant. What parallels do you see with executive power and the media from then to today?
