Let me tell you a little about myself and how I got to ESAT.
I met Mr. Lappin at Foshay Learning Center, he was the principal there and I was a middle school student.
I moved on to Los Angeles High School and returned during my senior year looking for a part time job and he hired me as a student worker. When the temporary job finished at the end of my senior year he offered me a teacher assistant position which I took and moved on to office clerk and then a full time office assistant. Mr. Lappin then decided to retire from the LAUSD and left Foshay.
Mr. Lappin returned a year later to offer me an office manager position with the LA Alliance to open the first College-Ready Academy High School (currently Gertz-Ressler High School) in 2004.
I was very excited to be part of a small learning community where there was going to be a rigorous standards-based curriculum. After working at Gertz for 4 years I took Mr. Lappin's offer to start another successful school - Environmental Science and Technology HS - College Ready #10. I have worked with Mr. Lappin over 10 years and have learned so much from him, I truly admire his dedication to education.
I have three very smart and beautiful children. My oldest son attends one of the Alliance schools as well.
I am currently working towards my BA in Business Administration with a specialization in project management.
